Happy New Year!

 

Coffee with the Principals & Parent Learning Walk with a focus on Artificial Intelligence Program. Save the date for our next Coffee with the Principals on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. The focus of this meeting is to inform our families about the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program that is offered at Walker Junior High and continuing at Kennedy High School as a 6 year plan. Additionally, we will be visiting classrooms to offer parents a short glimpse of what students are doing in the classrooms for this program. This meeting will be longer than usual for that reason. We will be meeting in the Parent Center, Room 701, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

 

Cypress College Dual Enrollment. General Parent Meeting on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Will be held in the KPAC at 5:30 pm. Learn all about the benefits of Dual Enrollment for all scholars. Please RSVP via this link.

 

Live Lunar New Year 2023. Join us on Sunday, January 15th from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Asian Garden Mall in Westminster during the 2023 Lunar New Year Show. There will be a Rice Cake Cooking Contest and it is the 2nd year of AUHSD’s Teen Fashion Show.

 

LCAP Parent Orientation. If you are new to our district and/or the LCAP process and interested in participating please attend the orientation on Tuesday, January 24th at 6:00 pm.  Click on the subheading for additional information. Your active participation matters. There will be Spanish, Korean, and Vietnamese interpretation. Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

Seniors Only! John F. Kennedy High School Scholarship Foundation January 11th Deadlines.

 

11th and 12th Graders Only. Juniors and Seniors! You are invited to join Anaheim’s Innovative Mentoring Experience  in partnership with JP Morgan Chase for an Exciting 3-part event series. Each event will focus on topics such as financial literacy, career exploration, and professional strategies for achieving, and maintaining financial success! Scholarship Resources  for all gradesTake advantage and browse through many scholarships available to all.

 

On-Campus Tutoring After School. Scholars are invited to attend after school tutoring in the library Monday through Friday from 2:30-5:00 pm. No appointment necessary. 

 

Challenge Success - Stanford Survey of School Experiences. Our school is taking part in a survey being conducted by researchers in the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University. The goal of the survey is to better understand the student experience in school. This survey will be available for your student to complete beginning January 23, 2023. An email with the link will be sent then. If you would like to opt out please complete the attached form and return to school to Ms. Guzmán in room 701 or via email at guzman_l@auhsd.us before January 23rd.

Sadie Hawkins 2023. Dance will be on Saturday, January 21st at Knott’s Berry Farm from 6-10 pm. Tickets are still available for purchase. Price for tickets with ASB card $80, tickets without ASB card $90.
